FLOATLINES
A spearfishing float and floatline is the most important thing needed by a diver or spearo. Huntmaster provides a large variety of high viz colour floats and lines and attachable flags to ensure you are as safe as possible whilst diving.
A float and floatline ensures:
- That you are seen by other boats and divers, helping to avoid accidents
- That the captain aboard your own boat knows where you are at all times and can watch over your dive
- That you do not lose your fish or your gun as your gun is attached to your float. Letting go of your gun therefore is not a problem. Even if your gun becomes stuck in a reef and there is a strong current, you can leave it and come back with your boat to pick it up
- That you have something to hold on to and pull yourself up from a dive if you become fatigued from swimming. The float then can also then be used to rest upon whilst on the surface of the water
Note: It is important you choose a good float, float line and flag with highly visible colors. PVC floats are great all rounders. They are tubeless, strong, very light and skid water very easily. They are also a safer option than most hard floats. Anyone who has experienced a knock to the head with a hard float against a PVC float, will tell you the difference!.
